Soccer on A Golf Course? - We have it all on The Bellarine

Written by

Anyone who knows The Bellarine will know that the area is spoilt with championship golf course choices.  But what if I was to tell you about a fabulous and fun activity at one of our best golf courses that involves soccer!

That's right, soccer. It's time to round up the kids and head over to the Curlewis Golf Course. And for those of us who know the managers of this club, it is not surprising that they have intentionally made a round of 'FootGolf' extremely affordable for families. 9 holes of 'FootGolf' for 4 people is just $20!  FootGolf is all about fun! FootGolf rules essentially correspond to the rules of golf - complete a round of 9 or 18 holes in the fewest possible number of kicks.
Curlewis is rated a Par 35, nine-hole course by FootGolf Australia. "Par" is the number of kicks a "gun" FootGolfer would need for getting the ball into a hole.
FootGolf can be played by people of all ages and skill levels - it's the ideal social sport. Grab some friends, family or colleagues, hire a ball or bring your own and kick start your fun!
FootGolf was created in the Netherlands in 2009. Today, the Federation for International FootGolf has more than 25 member countries including Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Mexico and Argentina. The first World Cup took place in Hungary in 2012. The number of FootGolf courses is growing by the minute - in the USA, there are more than 500 FootGolf courses and the UK boats in excess of 200!
Curlewis Golf Course is located at 1345 Portarlington Road Curlewis. Ph: 03 5251 1111 https://curlewisgolf.com.au/
