Creating a Subtle Approach To Inclusive Tourism

Written by

What does “inclusive travel” mean? We usually think wheelchairs & clinical spaces. We see a disconnect from

the customer and instead a compliance towards and risk management. Tourism operators must educate themselves to create inclusive spaces that are subtle in nature, or risk ostracizing themselves from a large chunk of our population!   A clinical ‘hospital like’ space isn’t inviting - families do not need to be reminded of disability, they want to know they have booked an accessible venue without all the reminders that it is accessible. Inclusive travel must be customer focused not compliance driven.
